Set in the mid-west, this ‘great Australian story’ is about land, life and love … illuminating the lives of two drought inflicted families, their increasing points of tension and the bedrock of love that ultimately sustains them.
As the ravages of drought wreak havoc on landscape and lives, the young blokes do their larrikin-best to sustain a sense-of-humour. The water diviner, a last gasp of optimism, douses his way through the parched landscape, whilst out in the paddocks the whimsical livestock proffer a comical ‘Greek chorus’ style view of the human condition. BONE DRY will make you laugh and make you weep … possibly at the same time.
Situated in the ambient grounds of Taylor’s Art & Coffee House, kompany M’s rustic corrugated-iron venue cocoons the bucolic red-earth world of BONE DRY.
