From the Perth Interstate Train Terminal
The Indian Pacific passenger train from Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide runs twice a week. Passengers disembark at the East Perth Rail Terminal from where connections can be made to the Transperth Midland Rail to Perth’s Eastern Region
The Transperth Midland Rail Line runs through the heart of Perth’s Eastern Region with bus connections to the outer reaches of Kalamunda and Mundaring. You can find train timetables and connections on the Transperthare available at www.transperth.wa.gov.au.
By car, the main road from the Perth Interstate Train Terminal to Perth’s Eastern Region is east bound on the along East Parade, then diverting up 1st Avenue to Guildford Road. This main road cuts through the Swan River Precinct and the Swan Valley to Great Eastern Hwy that goes up into the Perth Hills. See www.maps.google.com.au for detailed maps of the area.
From Northam the Avonlink train provides a regular commuter service to the Midland Railway Station which connects with Transperth train and buses that service Perth’s Eastern Region.
